Big Tech's platforms suck at news. Here's something you can do about it.

I'm happy to report that Indizr is launching a new open-source project: the Digital News Delivery Working Group. ("Downdog" for short, like the yoga pose :-)

Despite having some fun with the name, DNDWG's mission is very serious -- to get news to users more directly over the open web, breaking the stranglehold of silos owned by massive public tech companies.

For fuller info, please check out the new page we've dedicated to the project.

If you'd like to participate, best way for now is to join the DNDWG listserv by sending an email to dndwg-subscribe@yahoogroups.com.

That email group will serve as our main venue for early-stage planning and brainstorming. Anyone interested in the project is welcome to participate. Please join us!
